Yankee Ingenuity
When a tornado tore through Bruce’s property a couple years ago, it left trees up to 3 feet in diameter in its wake. So Bruce and his friends and family got to work cleaning up and salvaged the wood for a whole host of uses, including furniture-making. Bruce designed his own kiln to dry and cure the wood and then set to work with his table saw preparing lumber.

Bruce's studio is tucked deep in the woods of Guilford, Vermont, where Bruce works with the finest quality, sustainably harvested hardwoods, many coming from his own property. He uses traditional mortise and tenon joinery techniques to create pieces that will last a lifetime. Bruce uses a clear, durable, hand-rubbed finish that highlights the natural color and grain of the wood and is resistant to moisture and sunlight.
